Cuernavaca is the lush capital of the state of Morelos in Mexico, surrounded by the mountains of Tepozteco, south of Mexico City. In the colonial center of the city is the 16th century Palacio de Cortés, the former home of the Spanish conqueror Hernán de Cortés and currently a history museum with murals by the Mexican artist Diego Rivera.

The Borda Garden

The Borda Garden is a historical museum located in the city of Cuernavaca and is located in what was the summer mansion of the wealthy miner from Taxco, José de la Borda. During the Second Mexican Empire, the Emperor of Mexico, Maximiliano de Habsburgo together with his wife Carlota Amalia chose this place as their summer residence and because of this, the road from Mexico City to Cuernavaca was improved.

Taxco

Taxco is a city in the state of Guerrero, southwest of Mexico City. It is famous for the production of silver jewelry and Spanish colonial architecture. The Plaza Borda is its main square and houses the iconic Church of Santa Prisca, from the 18th century and pink in color with an elaborate Churrigueresque style

The Temple of Santa Prisca is a colonial monument that is located in the city of Taxco de Alarcón, in the north of the state of Guerrero, Mexico. It is a building built in the 1750s, dedicated to Catholic worship in that town whose main activity was and continues to be mining in La Plata. The construction was ordered by José de la Borda, one of the most prosperous mining entrepreneurs in the Taxco region in the 18th century.
