Welcome! Our staff will kindly welcome you with a courtesy drink when you arrive at the marina located at the La Casa China Bacalar hotel facilities. There you will receive all the information and equipment necessary for your 3-hour boat adventure.

Cenote Esmeralda

We set sail from the Cenote Esmeralda, the largest in the entire Bacalar lagoon with over 500 meter diameter

Cenote Cocalitos / Stromatolites

You made it to the stromatolite garden! Cenote Cocalitos is 90 meters deep and house of the stomatolite sanctuary. Stromatolites are ancestors to corals that date back to the origin of life on the planet. We will tell you why they are so special and how to preserve them. See, but don't touch.

Pirate Canal

Your next stop is the famous Pirate Canal where the shallow and warm waters create an unforgettable setting. Here you will have the chance to swim and explore the area while we prepare a delicious fruit picnic. Can you imagine the battles against pirates who tried to loot the area almost 400 years ago?

Black Cenote / Cenote of the Witch

You will enter the Black Cenote, known locally as the Cenote of the Witch, a place full of fantasy and mystery. Its depth exceeds 100 meters so you will be able to appreciate a color change in the water. From this site you will realize why it is known as the Lagoon of the 7 Colors.

Bird Island

The last stop before returning to the dock is Bird Island, a place where you can breathe peace and tranquility among the symphony of birds. Depending on the season you will be able to appreciate the flight of migratory bird species while you immerse yourself in the crystal clear waters.
