Welcome!

Hello! We will be waiting for you at the entrance door of our marina at Casa China Bacalar at 6:00 am. You will receive the necessary information and equipment to start your 3-hour paddle board or kayak activity.

Warm-up and briefing

Before starting the activity, we will stretch and warm up to enjoy the activity to the fullest, we will also give you a 10-minute lesson on the use of the equipment and safety measures.

Cenote Esmeralda

Your tour begins by crossing the Cenote Esmeralda, the largest of all the cenotes in Bacalar. The mirror effect of the water will make you feel like you are rowing on clouds. (Photo opportunity: Capture an amazing and surreal photo when the water is completely flat and creates a mirror effect.

Cenote Cocalitos / Stromatolites

You have arrived at the stromatolites garden! Cenote Cocalitos has a depth of around 90 meters, it is also a sanctuary of stromatolites; ancestors of corals that date back to the origin of life on the planet. We tell you why they are so special and how to preserve them. Look, but don't touch.

Bird Island

The moment you were waiting for… You will see the sunrise while rowing towards Bird Island. This is definitely the highlight of the activity that you will remember forever. When you arrive at the island, you will cool off and rest your body in a shallow area with warm waters where you will receive the first ray of sun and appreciate the flight of endemic and migratory bird species such as roseate spoonbills, cormorants and snail kites.

Picnic and Swim

You will enjoy a delicious selection of seasonal fruits and refreshing natural fruit beverages while you dive into crystal clear waters.
