The Domaine du Chardonnay runs a vineyard of 34.5 hectares. The Chardonnay is the king of the variety, it allows to produce in Chablis, four different appellations such as Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru, and Chablis Grand Cru.

Beaune is an ancient and historic town and the "Capital of Burgundy wines" in the Côte d'Or department (golden coast) located between Lyon and Dijon with the population of about 23 thousand.
Beaune is the center of Burgundy wine production and business. The annual wine auction of Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune ( Hospices of Beaune) is the primary wine auction in France. The hospice structure, in the town center, being one of the best preserved renaissance buildings in Europe.
The town is surrounded by some of the world's most famous wine villages. But the cellars of many producers are situated in the historic center of Beaune since Roman times.
Beaune is a walled city, with about half of the battlements, ramparts, and the moat, having survived in good condition. The central "old town" (vieille ville) is extensive: the old market (les Halles), the 15th-century Hospices, the Beffroi (clock tower), and the Collegiate church of Notre Dame are the landmarks of Beaune. Beaune is also famous for its "Burgundian tile" polychrome renaissance roofing style.

The Caves Patriarche are located in the center of Beaune. The 5 kilometers of tunnels that make it up run under the city and make it one of the largest cellars in Burgundy. It’s also a place full of history, founded in 1780, located in the former convent of the Visitandines, some of whose tunnels go back to the XIII century.
