Equipped with your Livitaly map with highlights to see throughout the church, you will have your own free time to explore the beautiful collections of Baroque and Renaissance which adorn the basilica. - A dress code is required in places of worship. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders must be covered by both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress codes
- Please be aware that the Sistine Chapel is a Holy Place and talking inside is strictly forbidden. In the Express Access to the Sistine Chapel Tour the first 30 minutes of the tour are held outside of the Museums in order to give you a comprehensive explanation before entering the chapel.
- Not stroller accessible
- In 2023, LivTours offers an exclusive 8AM entry to the Vatican Museums, giving you early access to the museums highlights before the public. Starting in 2024, the Vatican Museums will discontinue early access, instead opening from 8AM directly to the public. This tour will then be offered as a first entrance experience, which we continue to highly recommend for a less crowded, more personalized experience with your guide.
- Vatican management maintains the right to delay the opening of the Sistine Chapel for religious reasons, in this case the guide will modify the itinerary and extend your visit of the museums to ensure you make the most of your time before access to the Sistine Chapel is permitted.
