Your adventure kicks off as your guide regales you with the history of the island while we journey through cattle grazing lands and visit a rice plantation. You’ll also visit a small rural school to meet its students. Check out the views of the Cordillera Oriental mountains before arriving at a plantation for a tour on the production of coffee, cocoa and more.
It’s then on to Higuey, to see the famous Altagracia Basilica – a pilgrimage site because of its miraculous image of Our Lady – and wander around the market. There’s also a visit to a cigar factory and sugarcane fields before rounding off the day with a long lunch.
