Santa Maria Formosa - History and anecdotes related to this wonderful and characteristic square. Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo - The "Pantheon" of Venice, the Great School of Charity, the Captains of fortune. Marco Polo’s House and Malibran Theatre - Anecdotes and past and recent history cross each other in this beautiful corner of Venice. Return to San Marco through the Mercerie, vital connection between Rialto and San Marco and the main street for the city shopping.
At the end of the walking tour enjoy a relaxing gondola ride on the Grand Canal (S. Maria della Salute area) and minor canals (Fenice area).
After the gondola ride visit one of the most majestic cathedrals of the world! On this tour, escorted by a local guide prepared in accordance with the Curia of Venice, enjoy a full visit of this masterpiece of byzantine art, unique of its kind in Italy, have the pleasure to admire beautiful gold mosaics and marble inlays of the floors, while our guide shows the represented biblical scenes, the history and the particularities of this ancient basilica.

Important information
- Bookings can be cancelled with no charge up to 24 hours before the service.
- The tour does not operate in case of exceptional high tide (in this case it can be postponed to the later schedule/day after otherwise it will be refunded).
- For Covid-19 precaution the use of the mask is MANDATORY. Customers are required to bring and wear their own mask.
- ATTENTION - Walking Tour is at 9:00 AM - The visit to the Basilica is at 10:45 AM - the gondola ride is at 3:00 PM. Please consider the gap of time between the tours.
- Unfortunately the tour is not totally accessible for wheelchair users or people with walking disabilities.
- Comfortable shoes and appropriate clothes suggested
- It is mandatory to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the departure time
- Customers should have Mobile or printed vouchers specifying “Service provided by Venice Tours Srl”
- For the visit of the Basilica proper clothing is required (no shorts or tank tops)
- Each gondola can host maximum 5 people; the seat aboard will be assigned by the gondolier
